yellow leaves on daylilies

Question
I have had a clump of daylilies planted in full sun at the corner of my home for about 6 years and this is the first year a great many of the leaves have turned yellow very quickly.  They are blooming and doing fine otherwise.  The ground is well drained and full sun which is what I thought the plants like.  There doesn't seem to be any brown on the leaves, just that yellow.  Also, the leaves have not started to droop or dryup like they are dying.  Can you give me a rough idea of what I can do for these daylilies.  I have alot of other daylilies in other locations that are doing great.  Thank you.

Answer
This year, we went from a cool wet spring to 90F summer overnight.  Many plants can not handle this kind of temperature change in that short of a period and with all the leaves, they can not support the top growth along with flowers too, so they let the leaves kinda go downhill.  After they have flowered, give them a light dose of slow release nitrogen fertilizer and see if they improve.  I think this is a situation of just environment working against the plant.  Thanks.
