My tree has a bore. Tree has been cut back (again). What do I do to treat this problem? Trunk is OK branches are the problem.

If there is an insect that feeds inside of the plant, there is only one option.  Purchase Bayer advanced tree and shrub insecticide and treat according to label directions.  The product is systemic and is taken up by the roots and will kill the bugs feeding inside.  It will at least slow down the damage.  The product is mixed with water and poured on the soil around the base of the plant.  It provides up to 12 months of protection.  Good Luck.
