QuestionMy lemon tree has a silver white fungus growing in 2-3 mm round patches at the branch joints. The fungus-like growth is sticky, almost like candy floss. The tree is container grown and has healthy new shoots. We feed it specific citrus plant food. Any ideas what it is and how I can treat it? Thanks
AnswerHi Janet... Sounds like you have aphids on your plant. Try a pure 100 percent Neem spray? There are companies adding things like poison to it and also is made from different parts of the plant which are not as effective as the pure Neem. Neem actually does not kill anything as it changes the taste of the leaves and the bugs go else where. This insecticidal spray is also a fungicide and miticide, basically it covers most problems that occur on our plants.
