QuestionHi David,
what kind of soap water mixture do you use/suggest to kill insects such as spider mites, mealy bugs without hurting the plants (especially leaves) ? Can it be used for spraying Kalanchoe Blossfeldiana too ?
Rgds,
Ari
AnswerThere is a brand sold at garden centers called Safer's Insecticidal Soap. It is specially formulated for use on plants and can be used on any plant. It is sold in a quart plastic bottle ready to use. All you do is spray the plants, particularly on the undersides of leaves where many of the insect pests like to feed and hide. You can retreat in 2-3 days for spider mites since they are tough to kill. Whiteflies also need several applications in order to break their life cycle. Good Luck.
