Question
How do I get rid of scale disease on an orchid plant that I have.  I have isolated it from the rest of my house plants.

Answer
I would take some heavy mineral oil or baby oil and a Q-tip.  Dip the Q-tip in the oil and coat each individual insect.  The oil will suffocate the bugs and kill them.  Keep the plant in the shade for a few days to make sure it doesnt get burned with the oil on the leaves and stem.  Good Luck.
