QuestionI'v had a money tree for almost 2 years now. I repotted it about 8 months ago. It seemed to do fine but now it is not looking so good. Some of the leaves are limp as if it were over or under watered and others curl up at the tips and turn dark brown. The leaves also appear to be dwarfed compared to the other branches on the plant.
I also see that the branches are getting thicker. You can clearly see how thin it was and now how thick it is becoming. Is this because it is trying to grow into this pot?
Thanks In Advance,
Mary
AnswerStrange set of symptoms. There are viruses that can make a plant grow with dwarfing and even galling. If this were the case, there would be nothing you could do anyway. I would examine the plant closely to make sure there are no insects feeding on the plant. Pull it back out of the pot and look at the root system. The withering and curling and drying leaves are indicative of a root rot. If you have overwatered this may be the case. The roots will look brown or dark instead of white or cream-colored. Respond back with your observations and I will make a recommendation for root rot if you think this is the case. Thanks.
