QuestionI have 14 white pines about 15-20 feet in size which were planted 6 yrs ago. One is thinning and the foliage has started to brown at the branch ends in a general fashion.
I am in northern Ohio and the winter has not been unusually cold. All the other trees look OK.
AnswerHey Jim How r u? It sounds like it could be Tip moth and or white pine weevil. There r also some root problems that cause this problem as well.I don't want u lose any of these trees so call a Isa certified Arborist in ohio to come out decide what is going on and set up treatment to save trees. With out seeing trees in person it would be hard for me to help and time is of the most important to save trees.Keep me posted!!!!
