QuestionI have a small potted norfolk pine (indoor). Within the last several days, it has developed drying needles and branches with black spots on those that are drying. the healthy branches do not have black spots. It seems to be dying from this.
Any advice?
AnswerHi, Terri How r u? It sounds like pine blight or blk/brown spot fungus which is very common on these types of pine tree!u can prune away dead and treat with a product called ortho multi purpose fungicide. read bottle and retreat 7 to 10 days later.I would also treat with a complete fertilizer like a 10/10/10 npk# and keep an eye over next few months but u should be fine due to its rare it takes down the whole plants. If u dont want to treat yourself u can hire a certified Arborist and he or she can treat as well but may cost upwards of 150$to 20$ or so to get the stuff at homedepot or a garden center.Keep me posted!! Good luck!!!!
