grape vine curling and browning

Question
I purchased a grape vine about six months ago.  Recently, about a few weeks ago, I noticed that the leaves were turning brown and drying.  I removed these leaves.  New leaves would grow, but they would soon curl on the edges and begin browning on the edges.  I water the grape vine regularly.  Would you happen to have an idea of what's wrong?  Would a photo of the leave help?  Thank you.

Answer
Depending on your climate, such browning could be environment-related.  This is the time of year in the northern hemisphere that many plants begin to prepare for the winter, and leaves begin to drop.

However, this is usually not accompanied by new growth which also curls and browns.  Browning on the leaf margins (edges) is often characteristic of a mineral deficiency or a high concentration of chlorine or other compounds.

Please send photos of both the older growth and the younger leaves that are affected.  My e-mail address is included in the instructions.
