QuestionMy gardener noticed aphids on an otherwise thriving honeysuckle. I went on the internet and read that aphids can be treated by spraying handsoap and water. I did so and killed off the flowers and buds. Question---- will this plant survive or have I killed it? Thanks for reply.

AnswerHi Lu,
If it were only that easy to kill honeysuckles. (They have escaped from homes and gardens and spread into the surrounding ecosystems, and they are choking out native plants.) Your honeysuckle should do well, and depending on the species, may continue to bloom throughout the summer into fall.
