dying biburnum

Question
Chad,  I have a 20ft hedge of Viburnum in my back yard and it seems to have dropped a ton of leaves and the branches underneath have died. The leaves that have fallen have turned into bright yellow and spotted. I've had a tree specialist out here and he said not to worry and injected them with fertilizer. It has not helped and they are slowly dying. Please help!

Answer
HI Jamie                                                               How r u Doing?IM Going to tell u what to look 4 and then we r going save them.1-check underneath of leaves for scale bug[a white fuzz lookin mass]Step 2-check check branches 4 a white cotton like substance spotted on bark.STEP3-Check leaves [live leaves 4 black or brown spots. What we r looking 4 is leaf spot a fungus. Also check bark at base of plants for exit wounds 4 bores. These r the main problems u ever have with the viburnum. If its not one of these there is something with the soil, and we will go there after u check these out.The plant would not b under that much stress and it b not 2 worry and feeding them is great but after the problem is under control.I feel bad that u have to check with me when u have a tree guy.Im sure he is not a certified Arborist from the ISA.check it out n get back 2 me ASAP!!!!
