QuestionHi,
I live on the East Coast. Can you suggest to me what option(s) I have when it comes to a Safe (store bought product or a home-made solution) to killing weeds, YET not being worried about this METHOD harming my Pets, (dogs) that roam this same area?
If you can not answer this for me, could you direct me to another source for this kind of "help" that I need?
Thanks!!
AnswerThe use of herbicides around dogs is not a problem. The only slight thing could be IF they were alegeric to the spray. The best way would be let the spray dry before you allow the dogs back on the surface. Beware that there is a difference in herbicides--some are selective meaning they will kill certain plants but not others (these are used on grass--they kill broadleaf weeds but not the grass) . Others are non selective which means they will kill any green plant. So depending on what you want you should select the proper herbicide. I would suggest you check with a garden type store on the herbicide best for your situation. In any case herbicides are for killing plants not animals and are safe for dogs.
