QuestionI HAVE A SATSUMA TREE AND SOME OF FRUIT IS GETTING A SPLIT IN IT AND FALLING OFF THE TREE. ALSO THE NEW LEAVES ARE CURLING UP.
PLEASE HELP I AM NEW AT THIS. I LIVE IN TEXAS AND THE TREE IS IN THE SUN
AnswerHi Frances, if you are not watering your citrus enough for the skin to expand and it rains it will pop the skin of the citrus. Also when you pick the fruit it will be dry if it does not get enough water it will drink the water out of the citrus to survive.
The curling leaves is the leaf minor which goes away when the weather is cold and comes back when it gets hot. We have found that Atomic Grow keeps the leaf minor and greening off our trees. Your tree should be in the sun and have no mulch under it. kathy
