Question
I purchased 5ft trees last yera and they all servived the winter in NJ but I see that the bottoms about 1-2ft up are dieing. They are along a knee wall about 18" high along my patio and about 1-2ft off the wall. I live in a planed community and am not sure if any herbicide from the lawn maintenance got on them or not. Can I restore the branches? What else can I do?

Can you send me a photo showing the line of plants? Make sure the photo shows several plants with the dead bottoms.  In the meantime, you may check with maintaince to inquire about herbicide usage ( name and when used) especially if all of rhe plants became brown at the same time.
