QuestionI live in Naples FL and I may have two problems with my jasmine.
I. It looks as though it's being eaten by some insect, taking bites out of the leaves.
2. The leaves and stems have white blobs on them, somewhat moist. Is the the culprit of 1. above or do I have a desease problem as well as an insect problem?
What's the remedy(ies)?
AnswerHi Sepp, If the leaves have holes on the edges it is a grasshopper and if the holes are in the center and around you have snails or slugs. Sounds like mealy bug is the other problem you are having. You need an insecticidal soap or Atomic Grow to make your plant healthy so these problems clear up. Neem spray is also good to keep the grasshoppers and slugs off as it alters the taste immediately. It does wash off so after a rain you would need to reapply, also organic. kathy
