QuestionA few days ago I planted a wisteria obtained from Home Depot. It looked fine, but the next day I noticed small yellowish colored particles on the top of the leaves. It almost looks like fine, fine sawdust .It is only on the upper part of the leaves and wipes off easily but returns the next day. How can I treat it?
AnswerHi Helen, The problem with plants purchased at box stores is that they are grown inside, never to see daylight, fed fertilizer and poison to make them grow as quick as they can so they can sell it as cheap as they can to these stores. The plants are unhealthy to start with so you will have to bring it back to a good state of health.
I use Atomic Grow, which raises the brix in a plant which is the sugar content. The more sugar in the plant the healthier it becomes and bugs go elsewhere. It also cleans off the leaves so the sun can get into the plant which also makes it grow, and washes off the poison that is on it and in it. The results are amazing. kathy
