There are two maple trees in my front
yard. the trees turn from green to yellow
to red. There are black spots on the leafs.
what can be done,and what are those black spots?

If the spots appear dark black and are raised on the leaf surface, it may be a leaf disease called tar spot. You can "Google" tar spot on your computer and see some pictures OR you can send me a photo if it is not tar spot. Be sure your image is in focus if you decide to send it.
For now, be sure that you rake up and destroy leaves that fall from the tree over the winter. Be sure that you do a final/through job just BEFORE the new leaves start to come out on your tree in the spring. If your community allows it, burn those leaves. If not allowed, bag them up and put them on the curb for the waste collector. Raking and destroying the leaves will not eliminate the disease (if it is a disease), but will reduce it. If your tree is large, spraying it may be too costly and not too feasible. Rarely leafspots will have a significant overall impact on health of the tree, provided it is watered and fertilized appropriatly.
