dying western yew

Question
Hello. In my yard, which is located in NJ, resides a western yew tree. The leaves are turning yellow, which makes me think it is dying. Also, in the bark, there are a series of small holes, so I think this may have something to do with harmful insects. Can anything be done to save my yew?

Answer
Michael:
Using "Google Images" look up sapsucker damage and see if this looks like the holes. These woodpeckers can drink sap or look for bugs as well. The holes are neatly arranged. We see this slot and apparently doesn't have a big impact on the overall health.
Regards
Steve
