QuestionI live in western NC and for the past 4 years I have had this problem on just the leaves. It blooms beautifully.

Hydrangea can have an annoying leaf spot that we can see often in the summertime. It is usually about 1/4 inch in diameter and is chocolate brown. It is caused by a fungus called Cercospora. This is the only infectious leaf disease other than a virus that causes some color blotches that I am aware of.
If possible send along a photo of the problem that you are concerned about.
