Does the seeds get mature before the Devil Claw Seed pods do? Just wondering. Any ideas?

Since the seeds are in the claw seed pod, they are not mature until the pod is. Usually seed pods turn brownish and become stiffer as the entire structure matures. When the "claw" splits open and becomes claw like, that's usually when the seeds are mature...in fact, as the claw opens they are sometimes thrown away from the plant which is one way the seeds can "travel."
