How much sun does an Easter Lilly require?  Do they need more shade or can they be in direct sun?

Easter lilies need as much sun as possible - they can be planted in full sun. After your plant finishes blooming indoors, plant it outdoors in good garden soil with some organic fertilizer mixed in around the area before planting. Usually the stalk withers after awhile, but leave it there until it turns brown - the leaves are building strength in the bulb. The plant may put up another stalk later in the summer and bloom again. Lilies are heavy feeders, so give it the fertilizer of your choice when it starts to grow again, and every spring as long as it's in your garden.
