QuestionShould I cut my Gerber daisies back for the winter. If so when and how close to the ground do I cut them. I live in California so I don't have to worry about a winter freeze.
AnswerKathleen,
Just cut off any wilted or dried flowers and their stems, but if the foliage is green leave it alone. Any leaves that are green in the fall are still making energy for the plant. Later in the winter you can remove any browned or tattered leaves to clean the plant up a bit, and you can start fertilizing at that time.
I hope this helps!
