QuestionI have a flowerbox which has all impatients. I just noticed that the plants in the center of the box have yellow leaves with spotting on them, whereas the plants more towards the exterior of the box are lush. Any thoughts? Thank-you.
AnswerThe lack of air circulation in the middle of the flowerbox results in the moisture on those particular plants not being able to evaporate suffciently. The result is they are more susceptible to fungus diseases. That is why it is important to water only in the mornings and only when the soil is completely dry. Watering late in the day or early evenings often increase the chances for fungus diseases.
I hope this answered your question. Please write again if I can ever be of assistance.
