Hello mike,
   I plant about 200 impatients every year, most of them in the ground.  This is the first year that SOME of my leaves are turning yellow, and have spots on them.  All of my pots are turning yellow, and only some  that are in the ground are also.  I have hear about spraying 1/2 milk and 1/2 water on them.  Somebody told me that was good for roses, and i just wanted to ask if that would be ok for impatients.  If not, what kind of spray could i get?

Judy, although homemade remedies such as milk and baking soda do have some merit, I believe in using fungicides made specifically for certain diseases.

It sounds like your plants have either contracted a disease, or they are receiving too much water.

Excess water depletes the soil of nutrients and minerals needed for green foliage and strong growth. Make sure they are only receiving 1.5" to 2" of water per week. Also make sure that your soil is draining properly. Clay soils tend to retain water. Amend the soil with organic matter to improve drainage.

If the plants are not receiving too much water, they most likely have contracted a fungus disease. You can purchase both synthetic and organic fungicides at most garden centers. Spray according to the directions, and the problem should be alleviated within 7-10 days.
