I have a cacti that has these white things all over it and i think it is dying how can i stop it.

You're not giving me much to go on so  so I am giving you this website: www.CactiGuide.com.  Go to pest and diseases and scroll down to mealie bugs.  Is that what your plant has? If not, do you have a picture and/or more info?  In the meantime move it away from your other plants.
