QuestionHow often should you water an aloe plant?
AnswerDear Lori,
Aloes hold a lot of water and can go months without watering. In the winter I water when the soil is completely dry. Then drench so water comes out the bottom of the pot. Don't let it sit in water.
Depending on when you last repotted, I repot every 1-2 years in a good cactus friendly medium in the spring. Depending on how hot it gets and /or dry I may water a bit more put still pretty much stick to the water when completely dry routine.
The most frequent reason we kill succulents is by over watering.
Hope that helps,
Maureen
