QuestionQUESTION: I have a very healthy tp cactus i was wondering if i could take arms about 2 foot sections off and replant and if it has to face the same way it was facing when i cut it off
ANSWER: Hello Mike,
Just to let you know, you must slice the cactus only at the joints. If you cut somewhere else, the results will be regretful. When you slice it, the bottom slice should go on the ground. Don't mix it up!

QUESTION: ok so my tp cactus has about 10 arms raging from 4 inches to 2 feet long.the ones i was going to take were joints one being 4 inches the other 18 inches long. what would be considered the bottom slice?
AnswerHello Mike,
You can only slice the joints. So if you are going to propagate, you must slice from the bottom joint to the top joint regardless of the length. The bottom slice is where the roots are going to grow out of. The top will heal and begin new growth. If you place them uppside down, it will not work.
