QuestionI was given a Saguaro cactus in a pot for Christmas, it is about 2 and a half or 3 feet tall. I would like to know how and when to transplant it. Also how to care for it until I can transplant it.
AnswerHello Loni,
You should transplant your cactus when the pot may no longer support it. A test I call "tip-over-or-not" may be done by lifting the pot by one side about 2 inches high. If it tips over to its original position, then it is okay. If it tries to tip to the ground, then it means it is to tall and time to transplant.
