QuestionHi Greg, I have a very very tall thin cactus. It appears to be dry and dying from the bottom but the top is still sprouting new arms. How shall I cut off the bottom to re root or replant it? Thank you
AnswerLynn,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Make a cut about 2 inches above where the cactus appears to be dead. Let it heal for at least 3 weeks prior to planting. Plant it about 4 inches into the soil and water. Water again only after the soil is dry. It may take some time to root depending on the species, so be patient. Good luck!
Sincerely,
Greg
