QuestionI have a baby sahauro, mexican fence post and golden barrel cactus on a very light drip a couple times a week. Is that okay?
Also, I have a cactus I need identified, is there a way to post a picture?
Thanks,
Brett
AnswerBrett,
Actually, that is too often. What a very light drip will do is cause excessive salt build up in the soil which isn't good for any plant. Depending on the size of your plants, a once a month soaking during the hottest months would be good, at least for their first year in the ground. After that, they should be fine on rainfall alone.
You can send a picture to
[email protected] and I will try to identify your plants. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Greg
