Question
i have just bought a cactus from the market. I have read that they soak up rainfall in the desert & gradually use it. But because I live in Perth, W.A, Australia, I am not sure how often I need to water it so that it will grow. Becauce last time I had a sunflower, I accedentally drowned the seed.

I also think of plants as pets. I want them to live & grow. Please tell me how to care for it as soon as possible.

Cactus need to dry out between waterings and have the brightest light possible if indoors. Watering also depends on the type of cactus. If you can tell me the type of cactus it is, I can give you a much more complete answer. Thanks,
