QuestionDear Jeff,
I have a 40+ year old jade plant that was in my grandparents house in Washington State. We can no longer care for it as my grandparents have moved out of their house. It is more than five feet tall. I am looking for either individuals or dealers who might be interested in a plant like this. It is in great shape and has been well taken care of by my grandmother. Any help is appreciated.
AnswerDear Sean,
I've got the same sort of plant outside, and always have a problem getting rid of pruned limbs.
The only suggestions I have are to (perhaps have a picture taken of it, too, ready to post) is:
1) Announce what you have on GardenWeb (www.gardenweb.com) at the Cactus and Succulent Forum - perhaps someone in your area (or nearby) can rescue it
2) Is there a Cactus and Succulent Club near you? Perahps someone can adopt it or (2a) if there is a gardening club in your town, they might have someone who's interested in taking it off of your hands.
Hope you can find someone wanting this plant. Folks on the East Coast would love, I'm sure, to have it - just the transportation costs would kill you.
Kind regards,
Jeff
