QuestionI have seeds from a yucca, can I plant them to grow a yucca?
AnswerDear Marcene,
Yes. Get yourself some very good draining soil (cactus mix) and sprinkle the seeds on top of the soil. cover the seeds with a thin layer of sand. It's best to use something small to plant the seeds in, because you don't want to water from above.
Set the pot you plant them in a dish of water and let the water soak up through the soil. Remove from the dish once the soil is damp on the surface. Only water when the soil is dry to the touch. If a fungus starts to grow, then you are watering too much. Put the pot in bright light, not direct sunlight. You'll have to be patient because it will take at least a month, maybe more for the seeds to germinate. Good luck!
Sincerely,
Greg
