Is this a good choice for tropical carnivorous plants?

Is it acceptable to use a 2-foot lighting system? It seems like you guys usually recommend the 48-inch lighting systems.

Hi John,

That looks like a fine unit, and should work very well.  The recommendation to use 48" units is simply one of economy.  For the money you spend on them, 48" units give you more growing space for less money proportionally.  48" units tend to be more heavily mass produced, so the price is often better.
