Question
brown sundew
My sundew has been awsome all summer. It has been big and full and had several flowers. It has been a steller bug catcher. I noticed tonight that it is starting to show signs of browning. Could there be a problem or is it just that time of year?
AnswerHi Patricia,
This looks like one of the Drosera intermedia x filiformis (D. x hybrida), and it's very normal for them to start looking scrappy in late summer. Many of the North American sundews will. As we approach September they will be close to entering dormancy.
Good Growing!
