QuestionHi, I got some Drosera sessilifolia seeds and was wondering if you knew if that species needed any cold stratification or anything before planting. I've only sown capensis and spatulata for so this seems light a more exotic species that I would expect to be harder to germinate. Please let me know if there is anything I should know that could help with germinating these. Thank you!
AnswerHi Austin,
These are pretty straight-forward. Just sow them on a peat mix and wait. They are very similar to D. burmanii, but grow in cooler conditions. They are an annual. They'll live one season, flower, then die. Be sure to collect seed. Here's some good information: http://www.carnivorousplants.org/howto/GrowingGuides/D_burmannii.php
Good Growing!
