QuestionI rescued a VFT from the pet store where I work. It is in fairly poor shape with only one sad trap that isn't black. It was trying to bloom so the first thing I did was to cut off the bloom. Since it is too late to get it outside I hope to keep it alive until I can put it out in the spring. My question is it is planted in sphagnum moss so at this point could I or should I repot it or just leave it be?
AnswerHi Patricia,
I would just leave it alone for now. Do your transplant in late March, then when it looks like frost danger is mostly past, you can move it outside. It could easily just spend the rest of the winter in a cool, sunless North window. Just check it every few days to make sure you don't have any mold growing.
Good Growing!
