QuestionThis is kind of unrelated to plants but why isn't there a nepenthes seed growing guide? I know how to grow nepenthes from seeds but I'm just wondering.
AnswerHi Eric,
It is most like because not that many people grow them from seed. It's very different than growing plants like Sarracenia or sundews since the seeds of those plants have a fairly long shelf life of viability. Nepenthes seed is only good for a short time, so you have to have to get seed that is very fresh. Also, Nepenthes plants need to be fairly large to bloom, so unless you live in a tropical place or have a very big greenhouse, fresh seed would be hard to come by, so demand for a seed growing guide is probably low.
Good Growing!
