A Closer Look   Hello Sarracenia Northwest,
I just received this Darlingtonia in the mail recently, and I noticed that the pitchers seemed to be coming out at a weird angle. I'm assuming this is because it was planted in a weird angle. Is there anything I should do? Should I repot it next spring and try to set it up differently? Thanks,

Hi Logan,

Nope.  That is the way Darlingtonia grow.  They are really nothing like Sarracenia.  Young plants will angle up from the ground like that, then as they get older they will be bigger and produce upright pitchers, but they always start as an angle from the growing point.  

Darlingtonia tend to grow right along the surface of the media with their rhizome sitting on top of the soil.  Their roots tend to be fairly shallow.
