bog garden   I just made the beginnings of a small bog garden.  I plan to add two more plants eventually.   My question is can you use a product like mosquito dunk to prevent mosquitos from breeding in the water?

Hi Pat,

Whenever you have plants in water trays, it's totally appropriate to use mosquito dunks.  The bacterial spores contained in them are completely harmless to carnivorous plants.  In a true bog garden, that would be an in-ground planting, or very large container, you don't usually have standing water, so the dunks wouldn't be needed.
