QuestionI am getting ready to repot my VFT and get it ready to set out side. It appears to have some fungus or mold on the existing soil. What would you recommend spraying it with to prevent the fungus from establishing in the new pot.
AnswerWhen you repot your plant, rinse it well to ensure you remove any fungal sports. When you plant the flytrap in its new pot, spray the soil generously with a sulfur fungicide. This will prevent mold from growing. But as long as the pot is exposed to sunlight and good air circulation, fungus rarely develops.
