Question

Ping. Gigantia   Hey guys Jason from AZ here. Looking for your advice on Ping. Gigantia. Funny I'm going well with the Regia and even Darlingtonia but Pings have never been a true success with me. I have two of these guys and while they're not dying they just sit and don't grow. I have them in my west window next to my Spatulata and Truncata. Both of these are doing very well. What are your suggestions?

Some people have phenomenal luck with Mexican butterworts.  Others, not so much.  Those that have had the greatest success with these plants often had very stable, mild conditions.  Most Mexican butterworts occur in the mountains of central and southern Mexico where conditions are quite stable throughout the day.  It could be that the west window is simply too warm and has a much higher temperature and humidity fluctuation.  

Other than moving to the mountains or the Oregon Coast, you can improve your success rate by growing the plant under artificial lights and away from windows.  This might be the only solution given your climate.  You can use a 26-watt compact fluorescent bulb.  Keep the bulb about 6=8 inches above the plant, 14-16 hours per day.
