Question
i found a water filter that is supposed to remove the dissolved solids in water, it looks a lot like a brita filter, should this be safe to use on my outdoor carnivorous plants? also is total dissolved solids and total dissolved minerals the same?

Answer
Hi Dillon,

The only pitcher type filter I've ever seen that removes minerals is Zero Water.  All others that I've seen, Brita, Pur, Culligan, etc... are all carbon filters, and they don't remove minerals.  Dissolved minerals and dissolved solids are the same thing.

Good Growing!
