QuestionAllexperts,
I am very curious about whether or not a nepenthes could come back after dying? I came across this article online about it. I am wondering I should save my 2 nepenthes that died last month( N. Jamban and a N. Venticosa.) The article is:http://www.cpjungle.com/nudead.htm. I am very curious about what you guys have to say about it , considering that you guys have been growing these plants longer. I hope New Years was good.
Sincerely,
Weylin
AnswerHi Weylin,
It's possible, but I wouldn't get your hopes too high about this. The plant Michael shows in that example was killed by high heat in the greenhouse (I remember him talking about that a few years ago.). What probably happened is the top of the plant was killed, but root sections were still alive. It was also a larger plant. Yours was fairly small, and probably died from root-rot issues.
Good Growing!
