Question
flower
Hi,
Recently my venus flytrap has flower, and how do i know whether the stigma is ready to accept pollen?
AnswerHi Kai,
In the very center of the flower you will find the pistil with the stigma at the end. The stigma will open slightly, and look a little feathery when it's ready to accept pollen. The easiest thing to do is just pollinate the flower once a day until the flower petals drop. Venus Flytrap flowers are usually only open for a short time.
Good Growing!
