RE: bladderworts

Question
Hi,
I  live in Michigan and have a u.gibba bladderwort  and was wondering if you could tell me how to take care of it.

Thank you so much for your time
Hannah

Answer
Hello Hannah

Good choice! U.gibba is amazing, and rare! You will love it !

First of all, you have to grow it 2-3 inches under water. Its a solid plant, very hard to kill.
Put your u.gibba clump in a clear pot with rain or demineralized water. You can add some peat (a little bit) in the bottom. This will add acidity and microworms(for feeding) to water. Your plant will love it and thrive.

Provide bright light but no direct sun, or you will have green algae in your water. Your U.gibba will be happy all year around.
