QuestionI have two plants. One small I purchased from you in Dec. and I re-planted in Feb. The other was purchased two years ago and has not been re-potted yet. Both are sending up a flower as of the day after the great work shop. I remember Christina saying that she cut off her flowers. What say you? Is it better for pitcher growth or the plant to remove the flower or does it not make a difference?
AnswerHi Erric,
It just depends if you want seeds or not. Cephalotus set seed fairly easily if you just keep a paint brush handy and tickle flowers as they bloom. If you don't care about seeds, go ahead and cut the flower off. They are not all that attractive. Blooming does slow down pitcher/leaf growth.
Glad you liked the workshop.
Good Growing!
