Nepenthes ampullaria?

Question
Hoping you can help me.

I bought a nepenthes ventrata two months ago and now I have it in full sun(30-34 celcius) outside 5-6 hours a day, seems to like it alot, its been putting up pitchers and the leaves look good without any spots. I look at it this morning and notice that the new pitchers is smaller than the old one, does it mean that it needs less sun? and is it true not nepenthes don't like to be moved alot?I'm thinking that its putting out smaller pitchers because I've been moving it around lately.

Thanks
Toni

Answer
I'm a bit confused by your question.  Are you asking if your Nepenthes ventrata is Nepenthes ampullaria?  I can only make that assessment if I saw a photo of your plant.

In any case, it's normal for new pitchers to appear smaller when you move the plant to stronger sunlight.  This is the plants method of reducing transpiration, or moisture loss, through its leaves.  With stronger lighting, the plant also doesn't need to produce large pitchers or leaves for maximum photosynthesis.  The stronger lighting already means the plant can produce the same amount of energy with smaller leaves and pitchers.

As with all plants, keep them in one location.  The are stationary organisms and learn to acclimate to a particular environment.  If you constantly move the plant around, you don't give it time for it to acclimate, which can result with smaller or no pitchers.  So pick one location, and keep your plant there.

Good growing!
