Question
Ventricosa x Talangens
Hey guys, Jason from AZ here. I bought a Ventricosa x Talangensis from you a number of months back and this plant will not picture. It's in my west window with my Truncata that grows very well. I have enclosed a picture. Should I move it out to my green house where the humidity may help? Thx
AnswerEven for us, this plant doesn't pitcher very consistently. In fact, they stopped producing pitchers during this past winter. They are only now showing signs of producing new pitchers again. So one factor is light level. Truncata can tolearte slightly lower light levels because they produce very large, broad leaves. Plants with narrower leaves tend to require more lighting.
Overall your plant looks healthy, and much of the tendrils appear to have a developing pitcher. You can move it to your greenhouse for extra lighting and humidity. That may encourage the plant to speed up with pitcher production.
Good growing!
