QuestionJeff,
I had a question regarding various sources of water for carnivorous plants. I know you guys recommend a TDS level of 50 or less. I have two ponds on my property...could this be a potential source of water for my CP's granted the TDS is 50 or less and there are no other contaminants?
Thank you,
Derick
AnswerHi Derick,
It could, but definitely test it first. Because most of your state has limestone bedrock the chances of that pond water being soft are not good. If the water source is mostly rain, however, it could be. Also, if it turns out to be soft enough, be cautious about importing weeds like duckweed or milfoil. They can be invasive if you have pools for Sarracenia.
Good Growing!
